According to International Life-Saving Appliance (LSA) Code adopted by the Maritime Safety Committee of the Organization by resolution MSC.48(66) Ch. III Reg. 20.3, for "thorough examination" for launching appliances and on-load release gears the interval is now one year.
According to Maintenance Requirements for LSA _2_ 1 / 6, Annex - 3 Maintenance Requirements of Life Saving Appliances Maintenance for Life Saving Appliances should be regularly performed before annual survey.
